Two one man bands I really, really, really love. Both started in the past four years. Both are pretty obscure, especially Capitol Swizzle Credit, but definitely have their fair share of dedicated fans. But most importantly, both names start with C.
Lucas' stuff is relentlessly complex and mathy, so I think a lot of people here will appreciate his stuff. But then again, math rock certainly isn't the most universally loved prog subgenre, especially when coupled with Lucas' ridiculously goofy lyrics which will definitely not appeal to all (tho I love them), which is why I think it'll be interesting to see how he does against Car Seat Headrest, who, although not the most prog (but not the least prog), can write a hell of a melody and/or hook, and who's lyrics are a bit more (but not always) serious and emotional.

Enjoy both but give the nod to CSH, who put out one of the finest albums of 2013 (any genre).

Lucas' stuff, however, has a tendency to make my jaw drop, it's so complicated and out-there. Makes me wonder what planet he's from.

CSH. Lucas' stuff isn't my cup of tea.
