It is time again. Our third installation of the Prog Rockers Fantasy Football League. Congratulations to last years winner Equality 7-2512 "Vinny Currying". Well played sir. First topic is site host. I just renewed the the yahoo league and sent out invites, however, I am open to switching to the NFL or ESPN site if anyone is dissatisfied with Yahoo's approach. Secondly, the plaque is being updated with last years winner metal being put in place and hopefully they can fix the "Foot Ball" typo... Equality 7-2512, if you would like me to send you the plaque please PM and we can arrange this, if however you wish to let it ride to this years victor I'm cool with that as well. For all people participating, if you win and want the plaque for a year you have to at least split the shipping cost with me, after that you and the next years winner can hash things out, but if you win It'd be nice if you ponied up the measly shipping amount to get a cool plaque you can have for year and brag about... Thirdly, the scoring system, I see no reason to change anything unless someone says something. I know last year I was upset about something with the points for defenses but everyone seemed to like how they are set so speak now or in the next 40 or so days. Lastly, I enjoy playing fantasy football but I understand that it is mostly a gamble. Players get hurt, rookies implode or explode, and the ball bounces the other way sometimes. These things we have no control over and therefore should not get so heated about players/team/coaches/managements actions. This in no way happened amongst any of us, but in my other leagues things got really nasty. Let me just remind people that we are not only playing just a game, but it is literally a fantasy of another game(you almost couldn't get more meaningless). This in no way means we should not gripe about poor moves, or do some sh*t talking where appropriate; but I think everyone here knows what I'm talking about where perhaps one or two people can take away from the fun of it all by getting way too serious.

I also want to emphasize that our league is kinda small, and while I do not want some 18-24 team league monstrosity, we have room for at least 4 more people. So I know there are some on the forum who missed out last year and I'll do my best to look them up, but if you can help remind those forum members around you it would help me a lot.

And with that all said...

Go Hawks!!!

I'm definitely in.  I actually prefer Yahoo to ESPN quite a bit.  I used ESPN for two other leagues and didn't care for it much.

I'm in.  Yahoo is fine, I'm in another league there anyway so it works out well.

Oh snap, count me in again.

Yes, this is exactly why I (and no one should!!) bet $$ on this. It's all for fun, but there's too much madness to risk money on. Or ya know...you can have a stud WR who refuses to play half the games, and his crap attitude getting him benched right before kick off which cost me a game...god damn NicksAngry

I'll agree, out of Yahoo, NFL.com and CBS I liked Yahoo best of those.

Here is the link for an invite to the league.http://y.ahoo.it/kzPKW5xe

ManofMystery is out and I already sent an invite to ManwithaHat, a member who also missed out on last year, to take his spot. So this now brings us to an uneven league, but I am confident we'll be able to find at least one more person before September.

Also, the owners of the teams Melody Marauders, Chaos Hemetique, and Vinny Currying have not re-uped. I sent another email reminder.

My Brees/stud WR heavy team was so boom/bust.
Nothing was more frustrating than having 9001 points one week, then the next Denver scores 50+ yet somehow both Demariyus and Welker had nadaLOL
That said, I will be bold/aggressive as always! :D

The draft should be very interested. A lot a trades/moves in the NFL this year, and I predict this will lead to a lot of sleepers. What I mean is, I think a lot of the peoples major players will be drafted in later rounds, or perhaps better worded as players drafted as backups for bye weeks or flex spots have the potential to be more of threat once the season gets rolling. This is all a hunch of course but I'm going to be wary of those "draft him for sure next year" guys like Demaryius/Julias Thomas, Foles, or Lynch. A lot of research to do...

Seems I just joined again instead of reupping. I'm without my shiny trophy so I guess I"ll have to win another one.

It looks like we need one more person.  Would anyone object to having Tasha (my wife) play?  She said she'd be willing to give this a try.

It'd be great if two more people got interested at the last moment for a solid 12 man.
