At this juncture, I would prefer not redrafting, primarily because my wife and I will likely not have Internet access at all this weekend (Labor Day weekend), since we are going camping.

I'm moving on Friday so I will likely be without internet until Wednesday or so next week. And I was against redrafting in the first place.

Ooooh, speaking of that, I saw a black bear on Sunday (from my car). But this was in Oregon, mind you. Have fun camping. The Carolinas are no doubt safer from wildlife, if that's where you're camping. |

Thanks. Yes, we'll be right outside Asheville. Hopefully my brothers catch some fish I can do something with. |

Ok no redraft, also no keeper league until after next year. I suppose I don't mind doing a keeper league after this season if that is what everyone wants, but being present at the draft is so important I would just rather wait....
We are however going to do side pots. And the value of side pots will determine next years draft order. This is how it will work. Week1 Highest Points Week5 Highest TE pts Week9 Highest WR Pts Week13 Highest Points Week2 Highest QB Pts Week6 Highest Def pts Week10 Highest RB Pts Week14 Highest QB Pts Week3 Highest WR Pts Week7 Highest Points Week11 Highest TE Pts Week15 Highest WR Pts Week4 Highest RB Pts Week8 Highets QB pts Week12 Highest Def Pts Week16 Highest RB Pts This makes the flex spot (WR/TE/RB) a valuable position in that each week you may play one of your benched players for the weekly side pot position. e.g on week 10 who ever had the RB with the highest scoring fantasy points wins for that week. On week 10 you may want to play one of your benched RB's in the flex spot in case that player has a breakaway game. Sure another player might be a better overall play or just more consistent, but winning side pots can possibly put you for first round pick next year. Let me know now if you guys do not like this, we'll change it around or scrap it completely accordingly.

Hmm. I think that's an interesting idea- almost something of a side game. I'd support it.
However, to make it a little more equitable, I would consider eliminating the "highest points" category and using QB and DEF twice each so that the FLEX positions get visited evenly (four times each). My proposal: 1. QB 2. WR 3. RB 4. TE 5. DEF 6. WR 7. RB 8. TE 9. QB 10. WR 11. RB 12. TE 13. DEF 14. WR 15. RB 16. TE Thoughts? |

If you consider Highest Points to be your best possible player for your flex position as opposed to grouping it the QB/DEF category the flex is considered for 11/16 total games. I personally like how much the flex spot is to be considered for side pots. You may risk losing your head to head sometimes just trying to play to win them, and I think that is how it kinda should be. If we give more value to the QB and Def those players who are potentially already doing very well will also be winning more of the side pots. Members who's teams did not make the playoffs have more of a chance at winning side pots, giving them incentive to continue to play even thought they may not place in the top 3. This is where maybe winning your head to head is less important than the side pot (e.g you are in last place with no chance of placing but week 16 is highest RB; there is a greater possibility that a last place team has a RB that could win the side pot as oppose to a QB). This incentive for low placing teams to still set a line up is something I like to encourage because in most leagues once someone doesn't make the playoffs they stop caring completely.
This is just my general observation after being commissioner in a couple of leagues, but if everyone likes what Bobby has suggested we can roll with that. Also, I intentionally left out kickers, but sometimes it is fun to throw in that kind of randomness. |

I like the idea of visiting flex positions more often and equally, as Rob suggested. Maybe not the TE's as much though, since options are fewer and limited. I know there are still many TE's to choose from, just that there's only 1(2) slots to start them on the roster. So maybe one or two weeks could be subbed out for highest total as was the original suggestion, but keep the QB's and DEF where they are currently. So 2 weeks each for QB's, TE's, DEF, and TOT, and then 4 weeks each for RB's and WR's.
Thoughts? I'm still fine with either previous mentioned ideas, of course. |

We'll roll with Bobby's layout, simple and to the point.

And so it begins.
Seahawk gear is coming out here in Eugene. Lot's of bandwagoners I think. As far as I knew, everyone was either a 49er fan or Raider fan here. |

Seattle's defense is not good for fantasy football
Oh, San Fran defense isn't looking so hot to boot, apparently I have to start watching them play in jail Edited by JJLehto - September 04 2014 at 21:53 |

Amazing that I have Steve Smith and Knowshon Moreno on my team.
On my f**king bench. I refuse to listen to anyone about anything anymore. |

Oh that is a mistake with FF. I have a 100% success rate of listening to others f**king me up, as does everyone else I know who's ever taken advice lol
Thank god for Dallas! They will make SF's defense look good despite most of them being in jail

Auto draft dont fail me now. I'm counting on Phil Rivers having a bad day tomorrow, so basically a coin flip situation. And yeah Bobby, our benches had some fantasy monsters for week 1.
Well he'll be in for week two, you stupid idiot.
