I try to walk everywhere I can to save gas and get exercise. Having some music on my cell phone is very important. I often listen to catalogs of bands when they are on my hot list.

Since I switched to iphones, I don't use my phone for music as my computers are Windows and I don't like to deal with iTunes conversions.   I do carry around a  little mp3 player though for commuting and walks...of course it has a bunch of music, but lately I'm listening to Mastodon's latest,  Spock Beard's latest, The Watch's Primitive, Beardfish "Mammoth", Opeth "Watershed" and of course UVtraveler's latest Smile  to go along with all the classics.

Well as much as I dispose of digital compression files mainly in my listening experiences I import my music from my CDs in lossless Audio codec then transfer it to my mobile device.
The best a proper way for Prog to be enjoyed.

Right now I've got a lot of OSI on my phone at the moment. Usually just use I pods cause. Music takes up a lot of space.
I'm using I CLOUD and that is pretty convienant but I take a hit on audio quality.
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

I switch out music on my phone a couple of times per week.  I like to keep a lot of music on it, but there is limited space and I like to bring things in and out of there.  So today, the prog (or related) artists in my library are (along with what sub they're under on PA):

Art Fleury (Italy, RIO/Avant)
Blue Oyster Cult (Prog Related)
Can (Kraut)
Carla Bley (Jazz Rock/Fusion)
Don Bradshaw-Leather (Krautrock)
Genesis (Symphonic)
Henry Cow (RIO/Avant)
Kayak (Crossover)
Kevin Ayers (Canterbury)
Klaus Schulze (Prog Electronic)
Kraan (Jazz Rock/Fusion)
Led Zeppelin (Prog Related)
Michael Hoenig (Prog Electronic)
Moody Blues (Crossover)
Nascita della Sfera (RPI)
Porcupine Tree (Heavy)
Rush (Heavy)
Supertramp (Crossover)
Swans (Post/Math)
Terry Riley (Prog Related)

When I had a cell phone, I only had The Beatles' "Piggies" for the ringtone. ... True story.

... True -- story.

Hmmmmm...I don't have any music on my cell phone, but I do have this really exciting new app on my cell phone. It allows me to punch in a series of numbers on the phone and communicate directly by voice with the person who has that number assigned to them.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

A mobile phone (also known as a cellular phone, cell phone, a hand phone, or even simply a phone) is a phone that can make and receive telephone calls over a radio link while moving around a wide geographic area. It does so by connecting to a cellular network provided by a mobile phone operator, allowing access to the public telephone network.
