Hi all,

As I listened again to Oceansize's Frames today I was struck by the lack of similar music in my library.

So I thought, "you know who might know about this stuff ? The PA guys !"

Suggest away. I already know about Biffy Clyro though. I'm not asking for "just" post-math stuff but something with a harder, rockier edge.

Thanks !

My band, Pseudo/Sentai fits that bill. Well, the album we are about to release does.

Also, I second The Tea Club, also Rishloo, Circa Survive, Cardiacs kind of fits that... though they are much more psychedelic and ridiculous than the others.

You should also check out Mr Bungle, as they have elements of alt-prog in it imo.

I second The Tea Club -  a truly fantastic band, both live and on CD, and a bunch of great guys as well. Their good friends Thank You Scientist (one of the best live bands on the current scene) also deserve a mention. They should particularly appeal to fans of The Mars Volta.

I don't know if these folks fits the bill, but I just tossed US band Sister Helen to a team for consideration, and did note that they had quite the alt vibe about them. A couple of albums and some other stuff on their Bandcamp page should give anyone curious an idea if this is appropriate in this context or not.
