For me it's between Guapo and Mahavishnu, I need to have a listen to these first. I'm leaning towards Five Suns though.

Maxophone
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Maxophone is one of the best prog albums i've heard in my life, this one was pretty easy.

First (and only?) vote for Guapo.

I hope your not the only vote for Five Suns but right now it does appear to be a two horse race. It's early though.

The fourth post in a row for Maxaphone. I need to remember how popular this albums is amongst Prog fans. It just beat out Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow in round one by one vote, then took out my favourite Univers Zero album(Heatwave) in round two. But Inner Mounting Flame might prove to be too much, we'll see.

Exactly exactly exactly exactly....

I'm not sure how many albums would get my vote over this one.

I can't believe Guapo are a distant third here, top 10 all time album for me.

I picked Guapo as well but it doesn't look good for them. I've said this many times but the epic title track reminds me so much of Anekdoten with that combo of heaviness and mellotron.

Five Suns for me as well. I love that album. Dark, sinister and elegantly jagged piece of music.
