 Topic: Grace For Drowning or The Raven

I expect that I'd be in the minority, but I prefer Grace for Drowning. I find it more personal, adventurous and atmospheric. The Raven, (although really amazing), I find to be more 'prog for progs sake', being specifically crafted to win the prog fanboys over. But that's me.
Anyway, vote!

Probably The Raven, but "Deform to Form a Star" and the bonus track "Home in Negative" might be my favorite solo tunes from him.

I rate all WIlson's solo albums as masterpieces so its difficult but the truth is its a lot easier for me to pick up Raven and listen to it than GFD which relies heavily on atmosphere and ambience at times. Raven is a bit 'old school' but it packs a punch and leaves plenty of the evening to listen to other albums

Between the two, Raven. Grace has incredible moments, but I find it too long, disjointed and uneven. Raven is tighter and easier to listen. I'd definitely say Grace is much more complex and adventurous, but Raven is simply more fun.
Don't think either of the two is as good as Insurgentes, though.

^I prefer the debut as well, by quite a large margin. The post punk influences and stark black electronics in play really makes it stand out in Steve's output.
I haven't been listening that much to either of his two newest, so I will refrain from voting. Drive Home though is a track I really have come to adore.

Raven always strikes me as fairly mechanical whenever I listen to it. Grace is super emotional all the way through.
