It seems like Steven Wilson was in a kind of King Crimson mood when he did Grace for Drowning, and ended up with an album that sounds to me like a continuation of Islands. So, which of this two albums do you like better?

I love Islands but it is not an album that gets a regular spin on my playlist unlike GFD .

Tough call. Islands is near the bottom of my KC list. Nothing on GFD touches the title track of Islands...but overall I would probably prefer GFD.

Islands by King Crimson any day of the week. I don't like much anything by Steven Wilson or any of his musical projects.

Though I find GFD more consistent, most of the numbers on Islands just kill it!

Tough call, I enjoy both, but neither are my top albums from either artist. This being said GFD gets more play in my house. I'll go with GFD.

Can't get into GFD at all.

If I was on a desert island and had to pick between the two it would be Islands. LOL

Hi,

Who's Steven Wilson?
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Steven Wilson Grace for Drowning.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Me either. Thank goodness I'm not the only one. Steven Wilson/PT are pretty popular on this forum, so it's always a comfort to meet others who don't find his work that appealing.
