Two pivotal metal releaaes who gave prog metal ceveral new or different flavours and collours or neuances. Both shows drasticly new development in the bands style both musicly and lyricaly.

Both have clean and growl vocals and an eclectic variary of styles mixt up with metal.

I say "both" because I rate them fairly evenly even though they are very different from each other. Intrigued is a great word to describe my feelings for both albums.

Blackwater Park, The Sham Mirrors was a huge disappointment for me with none of the crazyness of La Masquerade Infernal and just all round drab.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

The Sham Mirrors, which was a smooth introduction and a great favourite album by Arcturus. I'm looking forward to their comeback album release...!
