Fairly indifferent to both. I bought Ride the lightening and Master of Puppets when they came out. Heard And justice and turned off straight away..

As for PJ, I like Ten but wasn't inspired enough to explore further. What I heard did sh*t over Nirvana though.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Metallica (first three albums) annihilates Pearl Jam like a steamroller crushing a puny, insignificant gnat.

Metallica, cause i almost hate Pearl Jam, easily the worst Grunge band with Soundgarden, what  crapmusic they did and still do. Thanks that Nirvana and Alice In Chains aren't bullsh*t and rawer too. Soundgarden and Pearl Jam are for boring peoples.

Not always. Do we even listen to the same albums?

Metallica easily. I'd even choose Reload or some of their later material over Pearl("Ah-ah-all our songs sound the same" - to the tune of Alive) Jam.

I was a big fan of Metallica in the 80's and early 90's and a big fan of Pearl Jam in the 90's and early 00's.  Metallica get my vote for having a such a huge influence on what I like to listen to.

Metallica easily.  They have some brilliant moments unlike Pearl Jam.  Also, their solos are less annoying overall.

One said they would never make music videos, the other said they would stop making music videos.
