HEADMEETWALL is a one man project by Owen Bickford (Ann Arbor, Michigan) at the moment, but he is teaming up with a few locals to prepare for live performances.

"The debut album from HEADMEETWALL is a collection of songs written over the span of seven years starting around 2006. As the drummer for The Timeline Post in north Texas, Owen Bickford learned the skills of home recording. After moving to the Metro Detroit area, he stumbled upon Plymouth Rock Studios and engineer Tim Rais. Home to a Neve Classic 75 console, a wide selection of gear, and unfortunate Brazilian intern Marcelo Rossas, Plymouth Rock provided the perfect environment for developing music that had previously been contained in the petri dish of a spinning hard disk.

In the months of sporadic recording and at-home tinkering, the songs coalesced into a refined, honest, and unusual collection of music. The influences for HEADMEETWALL are diverse. From Moody Blues to Michael Jackson, Beach Boys to Bjork, Genesis to Radiohead, categorizing this album is difficult. Analysis is best left to the experts. " http://www.headmeetwall.com/

"HEADMEETWALL is new, old, victorious, defeated, loud, quiet, confident, shy, reasonable, absurd, moving, still, burning, on... ice, aimless, focussed, soulful, robotic, moral, immoral, fresh, and hopefully not stale.
HEADMEETWALL is staying inside on a sunny day, walking slowly in the pouring rain, half apathetic, and half interested."
