Sorrow was incredibly well performanced in a memorable gig of the 1994/1995 PULSE live shows tour, and of course it is far better than the studio track. But I wouldn't say the same about Learning to Fly, at least for me. I really enjoy On The Turning Away and Signs Of Life (a fairly interesting instrumental track).

On the Turning Away, Learning to Fly (actually prefer the Delicate Sound of Thunder version), The Dogs of War (the first song i heard from this album), Sorrow (took awhile to get into it however). definite honorable mentions to One Slip.

Learning to Fly and On the Turning Away are both great tracks, but the latter is just a bit greater.

On the Turning Away is definitely the best song from that rather anemic album.

My favourite on this album is "On the Turning Away", too, and another I like a lot is "Yet Another Movie"... however, I like both songs much better on Delicate Sound of Thunder (specially the Movie song). The other two would be "Dogs of War" and "Terminal Frost". I never really got so hooked by "Learning to Fly" nor "Sorrow".

I almost voted for "Sorrow" but I remembered how much I liked "One Slip" when I first heard the album. Those are the two best songs on AMLoR, IMO.
