One of my favourite Roger Dean artworks.

Some of the other bands I like have unusual vocal styles (Pavlov's Dog for example).
I try to listen to the sound of the voice as if it were another instrument.
If you have the Dawn vinyl, it's a translucent deep burgundy colour.....as are most Dawn releases (and Affinity/Charly releases from the later 70's).
Why naturally, the voice IS another instrument.

This is the first album by the German band Karthago released in 1971.
It's a rocker but with a funky style that sometimes sounds similar
to Rare Earth or even Sly Stone.
The hot and hard guitar playing by Joey Albrect adds at least a full star
to any review rating.

Self titled first album by Kraan - Germany - 1972
These guys are sometimes all over the board but they always
remain tight musically. Some long jamming type instrumental
passages are just icing on the cake.
They put out a double live LP in 1975 that is the best live album
by a German band that I own.

This is an excellent album that I can enjoy listening to any time of the day or night.
The girl on the cover always reminds me of a young Bette Davis in a 40s era bathing suit.
(some younger members might read this and say, "Bette who?")

Another great album by this Italian synthesizer based band.
"Portable Madness" released in 1974.

Thank you...I was fortunate to come across some excellent albums in the seventies.
My regular hangout record store had a very good import special order system.
I was also on the mailing list from a mail order company called Intergalactic Trading Company that had buyers in Europe.
