This poll is just for fun. Do you guys sometimes feel that you're talking to the avatars of the person replying to you?  I have LOL

If the avatar is a picture of a person (edit: not to be confused with A Person), then I usually imagine that the person I'm replying to looks like the picture.

I always imagine that picture is looking at me disdainfully, as if he was saying, "My god... how could you be so stupid?"

He was the first person that sprang to mind when I read the OP.

My first avatar was a cartoon of myself I made. My current one is a selfie. I like to use avatars that are me and represent myself on this site as I really am.

Sometimes, I start to think that the person has something of the characteristics of the Avatar that they use.  I imagine Pat to be quite a serious educated person and Dean likes the odd saucer of milk?

I've often been told that talking to me is like talking to the back end of a cow.

Speaking of avatars: It's come to my attention that I have one of those that never changes. I'm not sure if someone with the power to do so at some point decided it was funny to have this showing next to my reviews:

LOL
If you search my handle, then that's the picture showing next to my reviews.
That cover art reminds me of myself......a lot and in so many different ways.
