Ommadawn hands down. Even the faux Tull end song.

Only Ommadawn advocates seem to be commenting. What's the matter with you Tubulars? Big brown horse got your tongue? Ommadawn remains my favorite Oldfield album even after all these years.

Tubular Bells. Ommadawn part 1 is at least as good, but part 2 hurts my ears.

Hergest Ridge (both versions) or Incantations. I have little lover for either of the two offered.

Very close call, I'd say Ommadawn
I've created an atmosphere where I'm friend first, boss second. Probably entertainer third.

Of course I love both... but there's something about Ommadawn that makes it something else.

TB. I'll always have a soft spot for it as it was one of my first prog albums. I also listen to it more.
A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!!

Ommadawn, Hergest, and Incantations all CRUSH tubular bells with ease.

Tubular Bells > Ommadawn > Hergest Ridge (I know HR was not included, but just wanted to put it there)

I dunno, I think TB has the best melodies.

He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

Ommadawn by a big margin.  A top 10 album by any artist for me.

Also prefer Hergest Ridge, Incantations and Amorak to TB (though I do really enjoy his first album)

I'd add Amarok, Songs of Distant Earth and Platinum. I also love the live version of TB3

The live version of TB1 is good though

Ommadawn Part 2 is absolutely brilliant to my ears. The musical representation of the fog gradually disappearing is genius.
