I really like this song, it has that great melody, and accents, its got those nice shots of brusting energy, the droning bass (almost doom rock), it marriges doom with bright starshine, it has so many starking colours marring black, and crafs a pathwork of variousneuances, in only 2.30 min, my only wish is that some dude managed or dared to make it gro even grander, i bet a good doom band or drone band could do Wonders in taking its beuty 2.30 into 10 by following the same chordpatterns just, tweek more modulkations and chord progressions, i sence a it could be very magical either a doom band or a shoegaze band should dare to do something about it.

It should also fit a female vocals also, most of genesis does have that feel it would be Nice coverd by female fronted bands, just something my mind tels me.

what do you think of In the Rapids, the melodie, its short burst of beautifull Magic.

What a wonderful take you have on this track. I certainly feel the same way. You a Gaulle do get hit with that lovely 'goth stick' in that track. It's a very special vintage Gabriel track. Has him written all over it.

It's a great song no question about it. I love the chords Hackett plays throughout the course of the song. I also love how it flows into it.

^The chords have a watery feel to me. Just one more example of Genesis' mastery over imagery. Very soulful singing once again on Gabriel's part.
