Isn't this section rather made to announce forthcoming concerts?

I'm not aware of this . Palmer just felt that it wasn't going to get any better than it was at that festival and thought it best to call a halt. The funny thing is that it was Palmer that copped the most criticism from fans for a very stiff performance. In rehearsal footage that was widely available Palmer sounded a lot more fluent and was including his characteristic fills. These seem to go missing on the actual performance. Emerson did have physical issues but these cannot be overcome while I thought Lake sang well but of course he doesn't have the range he once had.

Well Palmer still makes a decent living from Asia so why bother helping the other 2 out at this point--especially id Emerson is not playing like he used to.

Keith Emerson is interviewed in the latest edition of Prog magazine. He basically said that it was Palmer who didn't want to carry on after High Voltage and I guess this is why Emerson and Lake have been playing together as a duo.

I was at that show. It was great at the time but if you listen to the CD, you would probably think it best that they left it there.
