I don't listen to Trespass all that much. It has a few great cuts like Stagnation and The Fork, but greater things were indeed to come.
You got it wrong, it's The Spoon........

I prefer Spoonful from the days of Clapton's drug-fuelled adventures.

I like script and its a 5 star album IMO BUT Trespass is a exact masterpiece(IMO again!!). I think there are a thin line between "5 star  albums" and "Masterpieces" (IMO!!)

Mmm... strange, since whatever I dislike from Fish is just about the same things I dislike from Gabriel.

I'd take Gabriel at his lowest point even when Fish was at his highest point. In other words, Gabriel is IMHO a better musician and his voice is certainly more tolerable than Fish's constant yammering.

Well, the thing is that I don't really like this kind of singers, so neither of them sound particularly better or worse to me. I would say that I like the music on their bands in spite of the vocals.

Trespass. It's a milestone, it's intricate, delicate, ornate, sophisticated, soulful, fairy tale-like, and there's nothing else like it. Script is quite good but not a match for Trespass.

What? You can't vote against your avatar. That's like self-mutilation. PA has rules about this.

It seemed like I recall you liking Steve Rothery, though, or am I mistaken?

Marillion, Script for a Jester's Tear.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Trespass. Never cared for Marillion in any of its incarnations.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...
