iamthemorning are releasing their second album shortly. I highly recommend picking up the CD. Digital downloads will also be made available on Bandcamp and iTunes Wink

The following information is taken from, and the album is purchasable at: http://www.burningshed.com/store/kscope/product/272/5879/remove/5879/

Formed in 2010 in St Petersburg, Russia, iamthemorning feature pianist Gleb Kolyadin and vocalist Marjana Semkina.

Recorded and mixed by Marcel van Limbeek (Tori Amos), the album also features Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson) on drums.

Gleb Kolyadin, a Classically trained musician, took great care selecting the album's musicians to ensure a high standard of playing. Utilising guitar, bass, drums, string quartet, and a number of unconventional instruments including harp, as well as performing as an piano/voice acoustic duet.

Taking influences, both musically and lyrically, from the likes of Porcupine Tree, Philip Glass and Kate Bush, the duo's song writing is rich with metaphorical layers (referencing Shakespearean poetry, images of modern culture, visual aesthetics of Pre-Raphaelites etc).

Marjana Semkina explains, "There isn't just sadness, loneliness and pain in iamthemorning's lyrical field, there is beauty, happiness and hope as well."

"Iamthemorning are a special duo who emanate a certain magic. In Marjana they possess a beautiful, talented and charismatic vocalist and in Gleb they possess the single greatest pianist I've ever met in my life." - Daniel Cavanagh, Anathema

I really like the album.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Excellent album. The most pleasing thing about it is that it's a search for new musical territories and not a plain sequel to '~'.

Going to be my favourite album of the year, methinks. Followed by Anathema.
This night wounds time.

Downloaded it the day before (oh, the benefits of being a backer ). Haven't heard it yet. I may listen to it on my trip to San Fran. This better top their previous efforts.

Are they going to make this available to download on Bandcamp, or is it just downloads on Itunes or physical copies (which have sold out)?

Since they are on a label now they are probably limited to what they can do on bandcamp.
Anyway, it looks like only the signed CDs are sold out.  You should be able (I imagine) to purchase the CD wherever KScope CDs are sold.

Hi all, just stopped by to say thank you for always keeping an eye on us here at ProgArchives. Your support is truly heartwarming and inspiring. It means a lot.
A couple of commets about what we can sell and what we can't. We can't sell digital copies of the album (unfortunately), but we do sell signed Kscope edition on Bandcamp now. It takes a lot of time for Russian post to deliver the orders, but we don't have an alternative + as we don't tour you can only get the signed ones from our BC. :) And, this really really helps us.
