I was actually quite surprised of Heldon's success in this tournament. This should be interesting.

Au Dela du Delire is French prog's highest achievement.

I did pull out that Ange album after having talked to you guys the last time it was featured in one of these polls. I must say that it really caught me off guard - being far better than what I remembered it to be.
Still................we're talking Stand By here. Krautrock electronic deluxe baby!

Uptil a year ago I'm sure I would have voted for Heldon here. But it seems I care a little less for Richard Pinhas guitarplaying than I used to, while I keep becoming an even bigger (early) Ange-fan at every revisit.

Hi Saper. Have you by any chance ever come across his playing on Pascal Comelade's debut album Fluence? A far cry from his Frippian approach, he comes off delightfully more psychedelic and Andy Garcia-like. The track he is featured on is called Schizo and sounds like a cross-pollination of Garcia's Love Piece for Zabriskie Point and Franco Battiato's Sequenze e Frequenze off Sulle Corde di Aries. Simply gorgeous electronic music that has this hovering presence.

Hi. Perhaps I haven't. Its been a long time since I dug into Pascal's discography and I never checked out everything (obviously). But I sure love Sequenze e Frequenze and I also prefer Pinhas Fripp-worshipping era guitarsoundwise. So thank! I will definitely start digging for Fluence.

I cannot choose between the two. Love 'em both equally. . . . Though I do play Stand By a lot more . . .
