I can't not pick First Utterance, but knowing that atleast 80% will probably do the same kind of saddens me, as St. Radigunds is just as much my favorite progressive folk album (along with Hangman's Beautiful Daughter).

Also some love for Mice and Rats in the Loft? Have you ever heard Dando Shaft?

^Yes lots of love for Mice and Rats in the Loft but those three are still my top three in the out there folk-department. I only have Dando Shaft's selftitled second album and its a real stunner, but much more conventional 70's folk (not meant in a negative way). I have a feeling I need their debut though.

| I found myself having the seem feeling, also have the second album. Any folkrock albums (I also love bands like Fairport, Steeleye, Trees) you could recommend?

So we're looking into the debut albums of Comus and Spirogyra. I have not heard First Utterence, but I simply adore the 3 Spirogyra albums. Not fair to vote, however, I have to express my joy for St. Radigunds, .........Old Boot Wine being very good, and Bells, Boots & Shambles being even better. First Utterence I have yet to hear and evaluate....... (and enjoy..........)

There are some nice tracks on Utterance but I have always had some problems with several other tracks on it...(to me it's one of those 'overrated' albums )
Went with St .Radigunds.

Wowh thanks! I already own Pearls Before Swine and Linda Perhacs, will look for the others (if they can be found on vinyl). BTW, have you ever heard the 'Arthur - Dreams and Images' album? One of my favorite gems.

These are two of my very favourite albums in Prog Folk, but I'm especially drip dripping with love for the Comus. It's a bloody masterpiece.
