Just read an article in the independent Jethro Tull Magazine, A New Day (#116), that Jethro Tull's ex-manager Terry Ellis is writing Aqualung: The Musical. Ian Anderson has given his approval.

Would this musical be confined to just the Aqualung album as there are some great characters in songs either side of the Aqualung album? One of those characters would be none other than Jeffery Hammond-Hammond ....and you could include at least 3 Tull songs that have him in the title.

Please present your intricate plot, characters, songs and try not to restrict yourself to the Aqualung album.

Surprised they didn't make one of Thick as a Brick instead.

I remember that "War Child" was supposed to be the soundtrack for a movie of the same name, written by Ian Anderson, but it never took off, so maybe they should try to revive that project instead.

Personally, I think that musicals should be declared a crime against humanity.
A TVR is not a car. It's a way of life.

There was that Ballet 'The Water's Edge' performed but not released... be good if that could be given the hi res treatment.

As for Aqualung The Musical.... Well, it could be good so long as the central theme of the all powerful vengeful God character is adequately paralleled with his alter ego the dirty old tramp. Jennifer Lawrence to play Cross Eyed Mary.... ;)

And maybe Sossity in a supporting role, played by Lea Salonga.
