It's pretty average by BJM standards, but definitely worth a buy. It's got that certain something that all their albums have. Just no big surprises this time, it's reasonably similar to "Aufheben", the prior album, but maybe a shade less "ethnic".
Now that I think of it, their album "Who Killed Sgt Pepper?" is one you should put near the top of your list if you haven't gotten it yet - it's like a big insane party record for crazy people who dig spaced out dancing and wigging out. It's a trip. It took me a while to like it because I don't like danceable stuff much, but after a while I discovered its cool charms, and it's a belated entry to my BJM favorites list.

Been really digging the latest album Meta-Musica from the Funky Knuckles. Also the album Live at Ocean Way by a band called Dynamo. Both killer fusion/funk bands.

Haven't seen any discussion about this, and I haven't heard it myself, so it might just be because it's not any good , but if there's some fans of the band here, and I think there is, I just wanted to give you a heads up, if you weren't already aware, that there's a new Supersilent album out, 12.
Just heard my first album from them, 6, just now. Loved it! Safe to say I'll be getting the rest of their discography, as soon as my wallet allows me to.

BTW seeing as you just did me a solid there, then let me point you in the direction of something I'm almost certain that you'll dig. Big time! Guillaume Perret & His Electric Epic. Check out any of their albums, really, I haven't heard anything sub par from them, but then again they've only made 3 as of yet. Think Birds & Buildings only instead of the mad organs you get this supernatural saxomophone that goes through all kinds of effects.

Checked out those vids in the other thread, and wow! Some really cool stuff, especially that live performance. I'll defenitely try to get a hold of their albums. Thanks, man!
Speakin' of saxophones, have you heard of Møster! ? Solo project of Ultralyd's saxophonist Kjetil Møster, where he surrounds himself with guys from Elephant9 and Motorpsycho. Two albums out. Haven't heard the first one, but the last one, Inner Earth (2014), is excellent.

Hopefully the Jazz Rock/Fusion team agrees, as his 2014 album, "Inner Earth", is one of my absolute favourites of the year.

Thanks for the Møster rec - currently using my phone and have misplaced my earbuds, so I will have to wait until I get back on my computer. Safe to say that your intial info sum up already has me salivating! Quick thing though: you said the elephant9 guys but does that also include Torstein Lofthus? I looooove his drumming style(s) and could just imagine it in some schizophrenic meeting with the Ultralyd sax.
Oh and you're welcome regarding Guillaume Peret. Like I said, any album of theirs is worth having. I started chronologically with them though and can definitely recommend that to others, as it very neatly illustrates how they've evolved.

It's Motorpsycho/Grand General drummer Kenneth Kapstad, on both albums, David. The rest of the personel is Elephant9 bassist Nikolai Eilertsen (also both albums), Storløkken (keys, of course, on last year's live album "Edvard Lygre Møster") and Motorpsycho guitarist Hans Magnus Ryan (on "Inner Earth").
