none of them will ever die because they are the most used songs in movies to denote the timeframe they take place in. and that's because they are all popular solid tunes

I like The Doors track but the others are just boring and bland.

I have been a big fan of all three songs in my lifetime but Light My Fire is the only one of the three I still enjoy listening to.

I would love to be contrary but can't..
Light my Fire all the way..
Dennis Hopper was working with Sam Peckinpah the last time hearing Born to be Wild come on the radio or some damned TV ad didn't make me want to puke hahha
And Smoke on the Water. Love Deep Purple.. more than the Doors actually.. but that song is so far down the list of favorites that I couldn't think of voting for that.

Despite the fact that "Light My Fire" was the #1 song in America the day I was born, I'm gonna show the Purps some love, because "Smoke" smokes (and it's a true story).

I don't say this as a dig, but in each case, I think these songs are amongst each band's weakest. Not a fan of any of these tracks, but I like all three bands.

The one that got a band banned from Ed Sullivan.
It's pretty epic as far as key driven pieces go.

Light My Fire, Born To Be Wild.............Smoke On The water. The first 2 are 2 of my favorites when I was in high school....never was a big Purple fan though that is of course a classic track.

Three real classics. The organ in Light My Fire never fails to resonate with my frequency, so this one gets my vote.

in the subject he asks which do you like the most. and in the first post he asks which one will never die .. I answered the second question. which do I like the most? depends on my mood. Sometimes Light My Fire, Sometimes Born to Be Wild.

Again, in these parts, 2 of these songs have been played to death and I've grown tired of them. Sure, the remaining track, Light My Fire, has also been flogged to death on most radio stations over the years, but usually the lame edited version, so I'll have to go with The Doors.

My eventual choice will be between Born To Be Wild and Light My Fire. I will flip a coin (since I like them both) and vote for one before I sign off. I wouldn't vote for Smoke On The Water if it was the only choice. The song actually became a joke among some of the hard rock fans back in the day. That simplistic and monotonous guitar riff got old quick. I saw DP one time in the early seventies and that was only because Rory Gallagher opened the show.
