Yes, Scottish they are. I'm a big fan of B & S. Their album "The Life Pursuit" is a classic. They have many great EPs too, with most of those songs not on other albums. Pulp is pretty good but I'm not really a fan.

Second time I've made this mistake. Disapprove I'm going to double check the pairings so it doesn't happen again.

Pulp because it was on the first voting line in the poll.

B & S are one of my favourite bands. Pulp is really good too but i wouldn't know how to begin comparing them - they're nothing alike

I'd say they're comparable, both being more or less pop bands. Different sounds of course, but not completely different. They're closer than, say, Blur and Smashing Pumpkins. Wink

The first vinyl I ever bought was a Belle and Sebastian single! I only bought it because I had come into a record shop for the first time and was blown away by this amazing place and wanted to stay around a bit longer but felt uncomfortable browsing. Happy days.

Anyway Pulp for me - Belle and Sebastian may be nice-sounding and from my homeland and all, but ten minutes or more of them twees my ears right out.
Stop me from dreaming?
Okay :-(
