^No, the first I was remarking on Martin's lack of recognition, which was deserved.

The second post examines the pros and cons of the man's work as the group's producer. Quite different posts.

George Martin in the beginning - a major influence on each member's career in terms of learning how to use a studio.  Yoko in the end - the frustration and confusion caused by each member's breaking away made for some great music.....not "Beatles" music per se, but great music under the Beatles name.  And not that Yoko caused the friction that eventually broke them apart, she was just another straw on that camel's back.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

Desperate men call for desperate threads. This one blows.

^Don't despair Rednight, there's a chance this idiot will become president. That should make someone like you feel better.

As you have used this picture of Trump as part of an avatar, you apparently are more attracted to him than anyone else on the Archive. And if you knew someone like me, you would have been well-advised not to post this pointless thread in the first place, you drip! Even my 17-year-old son knows that only George Martin could have been the fifth Beatle.

^I would have to agree with your assertion that your 17 year old son is smarter than you. I feel no need to contest you on that point. A rock would be smarter. Its been around longer.

^Oh, wow. I haven't heard that name in ages. Very sad circumstances surrounding Badfinger and their two key members.

Ham was such a great songwriter.  With him and Molland it was almost like having the junior Beatles around for a couple extra years.  Mike is gone now too.  Joey is the last one and still plays here in the Twin Cities all the time.  He's lived here for years.  Nice man and still loves to gig.

First, Epstein. Every band needs a backer and his business acumen got them in the studio. George Martin kept them there. Acid test, remove anyone of the aforementioned or anyone else from the equation and see the consequences. No Epstein - Apple debacle, no Martin - Let It Be. No Epstein + no Martin = no Beatles.

Had he been on the list I'd have considered voting for Neil Aspinall, a faithful lieutenant to The Beatles throughout the time the band was together, and overseer of Apple for much of his life afterwards.

However, without the studio genius of George Martin they'd never have been the band we all know and love.
