Anyone else listen to this album?
I've been a huge fan of it recently. It has some of the most peaceful moments of Leviathan's career and also some of the most hectic.
It has some serious moments of beauty that are contrasted with hellish screams and extremely overdriven distortion. I even find myself humming sections of this album to myself after I listen to it.
To be honest, my only qualm is that it feels like it might drag on about 9-10 minutes too long, but that may be my penchance for albums about 50 minutes in length or less, and I'm honestly just being picky because I can't consider it "perfect." Haha
I would go so far as to say this is his best "album" so far. It almost has a feeling of hope to it. I wouldn't call it "post-black metal" because I don't know if it's trying to be anything in that regard... it just feels very real. Like there's a true understanding of songwriting underneath, and I believe he may be one of black metal's most accomplished one man bands.
