Once again, I have gotten into the Wayback Machine and continued my musical review of the fabulous year of 1972. Even the compilations, anthologies, greatest hits packages, and whatever category it was that you'd put Living in the Past in were great!
 
My vote goes, in fact, to Living in the Past. Simply a great album when it was released, and because I was 12 and did not have the interwebz, I had no idea that it was a mish-mash of singles, B-sides and songs borrowed from a British EP. I just thought it was Tull's newest album.
 
Second on the list would be the great Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine by the Doors -- much more than simply a greatest hits package.
