ahh.. not bad.  In its own way definitely more interesting (musically) than the title track to L'Egitto Prima Della Sabbie.

on to the 2nd side

yeah...Ananta is much more akin to Battiato's album.. you do have the drone of the organ over the repeated piano flourishes.. and so far.. that is it.

the title track though ..  was much more active... although subtle.  I liked the momentary drop in's of Pio's violin and the vocalist and even the 'one note' you mention Andrea does fluxuate.  Of the 4 compositions between the 2 albums... BY FAR the most interesting.

Unless we add Pio to B.R. Battiato-related here on the site I guess I can't review it for the site. I'd give it 2 stars.

now what to follow this with... hmmmm

It does fluctuate. I admit it.Wink
Well, it's also the least that I can wait from musicians of such calibre, isn't it?

It's one note, a single moving note. "50 shades" of a note.

Since Battiato and Pio are philosophers of music, hence the oxymoron "Motore Immobile".

I'm glad you brought the album up Andrea.. actually.. I'm going to give it another spin alter today. At least the title track LOL I'm curious if there are some layers there repeat listens might catch.

I didn't even know we had the damn CD.  Raff said she had picked up for me and I guess I never got around to listening to it and it got lost and forgotten in the wall of music.
