I love the early blooze with Rod and Woody - inspired rock with plenty of commercial appeal, but starting from the Rough and Ready album straight thru Wired, his music really grew.  Blow by Blow truly deserves its place as a fusion classic, but RaR and TJBG are well-worthy of multiple spins.  Great records, great feel.  Wired is a bit too wired, too glossy, too electric/electronic - a mix that doesn't suit his style of fusion.  A solid album but not up to his previous stuff.

I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

Ron Wood was one hell of a good bass player!  He did the fine bass work on "Maggie May," which I had always thought was Ronnie Lane.

I agree about Blow by Blow vs. Wired.  BBB knocked me off of my feet when I first heard it!  A truly revolutionary release during an era of revolutionary albums!!
