The Raptor Trail

Greetings!  Though we've been the best of friends for over a quarter of a century (does this make us old?), we've finally gotten together and started a project called "the raptor trail" - hailing from Macon, Ga. and Brevard, NC...

We've been told this may well be called "Southern Prog Rock".  The influences are kind of out the roof, but definite hints of Floyd, a little Yes, Allman Brothers, Sabbath, Purple, Doobie Brothers, folk, Dixie Dregs and God only knows what else.  70's lovers should definitely find it appealing, and an emphasis is placed on lyrical content & melody as opposed to just bashing your head into the wall (which isn't always bad).

Also - an extra effort was made in the mixing & mastering process to go AWAY from the current "Loudness War", so some of you who like actual dynamics in songs might like it as well.  In other words - when you turn it up, it won't peel the skin off of your face!

Anyway - hope y'all like it!  

PS:  I hope I'm going through the new band process correctly.
