This Norwegian band, active from 1986 to 1990, has issued a single album entitled Blind Leading the Blind in 1989. They show a strong progressive soul and they should be enlisted in our database as symph or neo prog (the latter suits better to their music).
Here are more data about them: http://www.blindorphans.com/ https://youtu.be/hiMmUWIuJVI http://www.blindorphans.com/albums/discography/blind-leading-the-blind/

From a quick preview of their samples, I'd say Neo. Taking them to the team.
Thank you for adding them to Progfreak BigMo, that helps a lot. Edited by Roland113 - July 11 2015 at 08:57 |

Thank you Roland. PA is the referring point for any progsters and this relates to your, and partly our, experience and will.
Take care Cheers

This suggestion needs looking into... The Neo team has changed considerably since I was last here, and this evaluation has sat in limbo for the last 5 months or so with two 'move' votes: http://progfreak.com/Blind-Orphans-164002.html?path=pa/recent. One of those who voted (Matti) is shown as 'retired' on progfreak, though his forum profile on PA says he is still a member of the team. Anyhow, this band belongs on here imho, and if not in Neo, then I guess it'll be Crossover. Here's the clip (link given in original post) from the reunion concert they played at Hydranten Hamar in 2009:
More short (90 second) samples, and one complete song, on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/blind-orphans. Hopefully someone with appropriate privileges will respond, and reawaken the evaluation behind the iron gates of the collab zone.

And indeed, the suggestion has now been passed to the Heavy Prog team: http://progfreak.com/Blind-Orphans-164002.html?path=pa/heavy_prog.

We would appreciate more samples to be able to pass judgement on this.
It sounded to me like light-touch Neo, so from the little that is available I would say Neo (who have passed) or Crossover (Marillion-lite and Phideaux come to mind). |
