I recommend you listen to it and then order it Thumbs Up (there are currently several copies on Amazon, cheap).

BTW, I ordered a copy of MIA Transparencias from ProgHeaven but haven't received a confirmation yet.

I'll go with Pez. There are some bands in this list that I don't know, but Pez are fantastic. La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros would be my second choice.

I'll go with Crucis, but there are many great bands here. Pablo – "El Enterrador" should be on the list.

No votes for Pescado Rabioso yet? Because of their influence in south american prog and the superb Luis Alberto Spinetta, they deserve more votes.
Honorable mentions for Crucis, La Máquina, Bubu, Aquelarre and Nexus here.

Out of the nine or ten bands I know its between the uneven MIA or one album wonder Bubu. I'll go for the former this time as they had no votes but also because Cornonstipicum is one of my all-time favorite epics.

I hear what you're saying.

I'm also Argentino (Well,  born and live here in the U.S. second generation, however that's correct, Buenos Aires, & Mendoza) - I only have La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros - "Peliculas" & "Pablo El Enterrador" ( Heavy Prog -Symphonic Prog) I love both albums and I'm very glad Prog music from Argentina is finally getting its spot-
I listened to Bubu- "Anabelas" at a friend's and I could hear a strong early King Crimson influence-

I´m Agentino too and  I want to explain some omisions

I forget my favorite Avant Garde band from my country (damm it!!!), Factor Burzaco, I recommend their debut
I Excluded William Gray because they sing in English, really a piece of genious and original band, their two albums living fossils and Silentio are highly recommended.
I couldn´t put for lack of options (25 options) these bands:
Láquesis, they only have one album, mix Neo and Heavy prog
Mandragora, great neo prog!
Rapto de Europa, first band of Patricio Villanueva, Heavy influenced by Marillion and Genesis
El faro, not listed in progarchives yet, great band, mix symphonic with candombe ( traditional uruguayan rhythm)
Go Neko! Great Psychedelic band (Thanks Svetonio!)
Invisible and los socios del desierto (two spinetta`s projects)
I excluded Rodrigo San Martin because it´s a solo project (highly recommend)

and that`s all!

I admit to knowing very few of these but won't vote if Pablo El Enterrador is not in the running

Amen! They gave the without-a-doubt masterpiece that is Artaud.

Voted Nexus for the amazing Lalo Huber but would've voted Factor Burzaco had they been available.

I voted for Nexus too. They were the first Argentinian band I had ever listened to. Bubu and Crucis are also favorites.

Invisible? Vox Dei? Missing my favorites! At least Pescado Rabioso is here. I guess Bubu and Crusis are really good too.

Bubu is the obvious choice but I think that I'll go with Rayuela for the underdog champion. MIA was also a pretty strong contender.

Crucis, they have a very powerful sound. They also have that distinct homemade sound =)
