I'd be very grateful if you would consider adding my band Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate to your database.

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate - progressive rock

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate was formed by Malcolm Galloway (vocals/guitar/keyboard) and Kathryn Thomas (flute) in 2011, and released their first single in 2012 (Wait For The Storm). Malcolm and Kathryn were joined in 2012 by Mark Gatland (bass), Rudy Burrell (drums) and Ibon Bilbao (guitar).

They released their first album (Invisible) in 2012 on the independent Glass Castle Recordings label. The album is a defiant reflection on Malcolm's experiences of invisible disability due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Their second album (When The Kill Code Fails) was released in 2015. This concept album follows the story of an artificial intelligence construct coming to terms with it's existence. The album was also released by Glass Castle Recordings.

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate are based in London, UK.

Good stuff!  Thumbs Up  Would probably be taken into Crossover Prog on this site, but without a suggested sub genre in your topic title it'll just get ignored...as you have already discovered! In the 'good old days' we used to have a New Suggestions Monitor who would pre-evaluate all suggestions made here, and then pass on the topic link to the appropriate sub genre team thread in the collaborator zone if he or she thought it was something that belonged on the site (you and I can't access that sacred part of the forum, however Unhappy ).

These days the team leaders are supposed to check the New Suggestions forum regularly themselves, and pick up any suggestions that might apply to their particular area of expertise and take them onwards for evaluation. This system not received a very consistent response thus far however, so whilst some teams do collect their suggestions on a fairly regular basis and act upon them, several others don't - and once they disappear off the first page these suggestions just tend to get lost. Without a suggested sub genre in a topic title, the chances of it getting picked up directly by a team in this manner are indeed very slim - the only hope being that a collaborator just happens to drop by and likes what he or she hears...in which case they might pass it on to what they believe to be the most appropriate sub - and away we go!

This music belongs here for definite as far as I am concerned, but I am not a collaborator - just a sad person who tends to hang around this particular part of the forum looking for any new stuff that just might be worth checking out. Embarrassed

Edit: In anticipation of this suggestion finding its way eventually down into the Crossover team's secret hideout somewhere in Middle-earth, I have added your band to progfreak.com - the site that the team use to track their evaluations: http://progfreak.com/Hats-Off-Gentlemen-It-s-Adequate-165281.html

All will become clear in the fullness of time... Wink

Edit 2: ...And in the meantime let's have a listen to some music (casual visitors to this thread are more likely to press the play button on an embedded video, and carry on listening whilst they are reading its contents than to click on a link that opens up a page in a new tab):

I've dropped a link to this thread in the crossover team thread.  They have been notified.

And looking good so far: http://progfreak.com/Hats-Off-Gentlemen-It-s-Adequate-165281.html?path=pa/recent. One more 'yes' vote should do it. Smile
