Carlos Danger is a band not even a year old, from Oxford, MS, USA. Their style is self-described as "heavy groove," "prog grunge," and "alt metal." Since beginning with their roots in a more basic 90s style of rock, they have branched out to include elements of metal and prog in their unique-yet-catchy sound.

Here's a writeup from Jackson, Mississippi newspaper The Clarion-Ledger:  http://www.clarionledger.com/story/life/intune/2016/01/06/getting-heavy-carlos-danger/78324690/

The lineup consists of vocalist/guitarist Alex Thiel, bassist Reid Haynie, and drummer Lee Ingram. They released their debut EP, "The Return of Carlos Danger," earlier this month on Bandcamp. Take a listen below:

Thanks!

Glad to see these guys getting recognition. They live in my neck of the woods, and I know them personally and our bands have played on the same bill before. The EP is great stuff.

I'd say crossover prog might be a good fit, but they aren't more prog than proto-math rock bands like Drive Like Jehu that have been rejected.

A band named after Anthony Weiner's tail chasing alias. AWESOME! LOL
