1. Fred Frith (in my book, it does not get any better than this.)
2. Andy Latimer (perfect balance of emotion and skill, love his style.) 3. Manuel Göttsching (not exactly prog, but he was incredibly original, inventive, innovative, unorthodox, therefore "progressive".) 4. Steve Hillage (incredible phrasing, timing, and feel. His mixture of jazz, ambient, and rock is something I fell in love immediately after hearing Space Shanty.) 5.
