It's an album that I rememer liking very much about a year ago. I recently relistened and liked it very much.
Not prog per se, but the two long space rock suites are excellent and of superior musical quality.

Anyone hip with this album?Smile

Thank you in advance.

Yes...haven't played it for ages ....there are a lot of albums from that time period that I like that are proto prog.
Try Ton Ton Macoute and Titus Groan for two of those early things.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

I am familiar with Titus Goran, I'll have to check out Ton Ton Macoute.

Actually, proto-prog might not be the most fitting descrption. I believe this is just straight up space rock or hard rock with space elements. But, it's a dead good album!

I tend to call all those edgy albums from the early 70's proto prog even if they aren't....just a habit of mine.
There are a lot of those early Brit things from 69-72 that I really enjoy and many have that early proto prog thing going on in at least a few songs. I also lump in Gracious, Gravy Train, Still Life,  Steamhammer, etc... but they are more hard rock with proggy edges.

If you like that UFO album try the first two 'Gun' albums .......from '69 and '70.
