Yes. Easy Money is more elaborate, but Easy Livin' is not far behind. Both great pieces of music from two great bands.

Easy Money I guess neither is a favorite
WASP's cover version of Easy Livin' is amazing, check it out. Also Hensley has collaborated with WASP.
Uriah Heep has another "easy" song - The Easy Road. It would have got my vote against Easy Money.

Each to his own I suppose. I could never claim to be a huge KC fan, but even to me your statement seemed bold!

I could never claim to be a huge KC fan, but even to me your statement seemed bold! | Oh, so you're just speaking subjectively? When I read someone saying that something is better or worse then I generally expect objective reasoning. Language can be so confusing when not used with precision. I avoid such terminology as I don't really have the music background to back up such claims, though of course I can say that something is better for me. As much as possible, I do think it's good to try to remove personal taste out of the equation when making claims of superiority. Some have said that you can only be subjective when judging worth, but I don't agree with that. Anyway, two comparable songs, but I much prefer "Easy Money". I love its groove, especially on The Great Deceiver: Live 1973 - 1974. I also do find it a more interesting and less predictable recording, and am hardly surprised that more people here at a progressive rock site prefer it. It's not a particular favourite King Crimson track of mine, and it may be my least favourite off Larks' Tongues in Aspic, but I still think it makes the album more varied and interesting, and does work well as a stand-alone track. It does sort of remind me of a more progressive version of Easy Livin'. Bruce Springsteen, I'm not a fan, also made a song called Easy Money.

I always liked an old review from the original Rolling Stone Record Guide that said...."A mutant version of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep has to be considered one of the worst commercially successful bands of the Seventies. Good points: sincerity and an organist (Hensley) far more intelligent and capable than the group. Bad points: one of the most strident and annoying singers (Byron) in rock history . The problem is that Byron gets the material he deserves." btw....I do like many Heep songs and as a prog collector have all of the early albums....I also just found an original copy of Toe Fat (1969-1970)......so how many can tell me without looking it up who was in Toe Fat from Heep?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was speaking subjectively, I could give some reasons why I don't think KC are objectively good, but most of my issues with the band are down to my musical tastes.
