What the heck is this ? 1972 was the best year both in quality & quantity in RPI. You think music and art is a pissing contest. Buy a race horse.
You may see a smile on Tony Banksī face but thatīs unlikely.

One can say the same of Palepoli. NOTHING sounds like that album and is also in a league of its own.

hard choice.. as it always is in these polls.  #2 and #3 alltime favorite prog albums there. 

Giving it to Palepoli.. both 7 star albums... but while YS is 30 odd miinutes of having a 2X4 busted over your head by some knuckdragger set to a  Peckenpah film...a beauty that only extreme violence has.

 Palepoli is having sex and snorting coke while having a 2X4 beat over your head to a Leone film.  A beauty only the truly off center and warped can appreciate.

Just enough difference in atmosphere and variety on Palepoli to give it the edge.
