Yeah I was wondering when Sabbath was gonna break free and pull ahead of Metallica....I still think it will happen.

Tough one indeed Jim - are you in some sort of 80's flashback mood?

The Sabs by a tiny margin... (if it was Vengeance instead of Joan Crawford then BOC...)

in a straight Sabb-Metalica contest.. no question.  Boys to men there.  However the other strong options dilute the 'quality' votes LOL

take my better half.. normally one could count on her vote Sabbath (especially with RJD).. except for that BOC option. You do have her.. perhaps one of her absolute alltime favorite songs as an option.

Yes, for some time now.  It shows no sign of ending I'm afraid.  Probably because I blew it off to a great extent while living it, in favor of the 60s-70s rock.  So I'm utilizing it now.  LOL

Yeah pitting BOC against Dio-Sab has to be a tough one for her!  Throwing Maiden on top?  Yikes.  As someone else pointed out I could have made better song picks for Maiden.

The Sabs undoubtedly have the strongest pairing here, as both songs are fantastic.
DP would come second, since those two are definitely the highlights of that album. In the remaining three pairings, there is one song which is stronger than the other. As great as "Joan Crawford" is, I believe "Vengeance: The Pact" is even better. Personally, I would have chosen "Disposable Heroes" as a partner for "Master of Puppets", and "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" for "Two Minutes to Midnight".

I love Joan Crawford, couldn't resist.  Damage Inc I had to pick because of the "Go" before the solo.   LOL

Rime of the Ancient Mariner....yep, I blew the Maiden picks.

yeah... I thought that DP option might tempt you as well. That one took some time to grow on me but now enjoy that album as much as their more celebrated classic albums.

though highlight of that album for me has always been Nobody's Home...
