Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Blackfoot with Ken Hensley (SIOGO), some Rainbow, probably a lot of other stuff that isn't coming to mind at the moment

Wow, I'm a pretty big southern rock fan but I had no idea that Ken Hensley was ever in Blackfoot. I'll have to check that out!

I'm surprised with the amount of replies, gotta admit,it's comforting to see that not all people in the world only use Facebook to comunicate, forums are so much more straightforward..

thanks again guys

Welcome to PA!  Great place.

One of my favorite hard-rock LPs that incorporates some great keyboards is "Force It" by UFO.  Leo Lyons, bassist for Ten Years After, played electric piano and Mellotron as well as producing.  Try tracks "Out in the Streets" and "This Kids" for examples:

Uriah Heep as already suggested is the one that came to mind. Cherry Five and Flash might also be worth a look. Not especially heavy but both feature organ strongly.
