Ahh, you beat me to it. I wasn't going to mention Richie though just Randy. Randy Crawford became an accomplished yet still under rated jazz singer most notably on the song "street life" by the Crusaders.  

I can't really think of too many others off the top of my head.

Never one to be typecast, Robert Fripp has a few other notable collaborations besides others mentioned above: one or two of David Bowie's albums; and, 'Gang of Four' (neo-punk of the early 1980s)...

Tony Levin played bass for a great number of people, prog and non prog, including "The Carpenters".

Just thought of another one...Focus teaming up with PJ Proby for the 1977 Focus Con Proby album.



I only just purchased the CD of this and boy was this a weird collaboration....akin to Elvis fronting Yes!!!!

Ah. I had this LP when I were a lad. That pretty much defines why I did not like it.
