Howdy, folks! My name is Sean, or commonly known on the net as UltimaPrime. I'm 17 years old and I've been browsing Prog Archives for a good year or so now, so I finally decided to register on the forums.

Let's see...as for what kind of Prog I listen to, my tastes generally fall under the Symphonic Prog (Mostly Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Steve Hackett, etc.), Prog Metal (Dream Theater, Queensryche, Symphony X, etc.), Neo-Prog (IQ, Marillion, Arena, Pendragon, etc.), Prog Folk (Traffic, Jethro Tull, etc.), Art Rock (Rush, Styx, Peter Gabriel, etc.), and Psychadelic/Space Rock (Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Ozric Tentacles, etc.) genres.

EDIT - Here's a fun fact: My uncle's cousin is Scott Rockenfield

Welcome, you've managed to cover most genres of prog there.

Excuse my ignorance, but who is Scott Rockenfield?

Ello' I'm Chris, I'm fourteen. I like Symphonic, Psychadelic/Space, And Art prog.

I have no ties in prog rock however I almost did. In the late 80's my dad almost toured with Genesis, he met them, but Phil Collins didn't like the tour schedule so the tour was canceled. That is why however I love And then there Were Three, A trick of the Tail, and other Collins led albums, I don't like Phil himself. My dad has met his share of musicians (I.E. Paul McCartney, ELP, etc.) And he came second too Bon Jovi in a state wide competition, the prize for the winner, a record deal. So if it weren't for two stupid Judges his band probobly would have become really big. Insted of continueing his on-going music carear he decided to raise me and my 16 year old brother.

The summary of this story: Simple, Phil Collins and New York State Judges (Or Bon Jovi, not sure which is to blame) are stupid.

Have a fun time on the forum!

I'm Kayla, I'm 17, and I just moved to Oklahoma from NY. Just curious if you live in NY, or if your dad just competed there.

Just north of Lockport, by Lake Ontario. Hey, have you heard of a band called Gamalon? They're from Buffalo, they're one of my favorite bands.

They're still around. They play once a week at a bar called The Scotch and Sirloin about 20 minutes from my old house. Their members are a little different, but they still tear it up.
