I'm not sure. Maybe it's me... but there's always some weird advertisement for bands like that here. I've just been wondering.

you're totally right...I also wondered. And I also wondered why they all come out of their holes NOW...there wasn't such a thing some month ago or at least not so much...
but they don't REALLY bother me

Spamming on a music site. There called a "Street Team" as part of a bands fan club or website members. They call radio stations, put up posters, spam forums.... whatever they can do to spread the word about a band.

Harmless, but annoying, like Boy George!!!

"Do yourself a favor"

I don't know if I've been enough of a good boy to deserve such a succulent treat, especially with the influences cited and obvious discerning quality demonstrated by the original post. Such a fresh, inspired use of "there" rather than the fascistic "their" and "they're"...and how could anyone resist the contagious joy expressed by three consecutive exclamation points?

I suppose when Atomship (along with fellow visionaries Tool, Deftones, Incubus and Creed) begins a musical and cultural revolution, I will unfortunately be left behind. Weep for me, as evolution flows by me like a river to distant, glorious shores.

(I actually don't have anything against Tool)

I don't even think Deftones Incubus or Creed should be mentioned in same sentence as Tool. Meaning Tool actually have something interesting to offer in my opinion, unlike those...bands.

Good comment James!

Tool's cover of Zep's "No Quater" has earned them my deepest respect! Done with taste.
