Sorry if the topic has already been debated, however I'm really surprised that The Flaming Lips are not listed on PA yet, even in the Prog Related category.

Wayne Coyne and co. needs no introduction, they're one of the most known, creative and best modern psychedelic rock bands of the 21th century, in activity for circa 25 years, constantly evolving and looking for new experimentations and sonorities.

I think the band fully deserves its place here.

PS: BTW, their last opus, "Oczy Mlody", is simply magnificent, easily competing for my 2017's favs. 5 stars, Highly recommended Thumbs Up

Sorry they've been rejected in Psych / Space Team already, and we Admins (ex-Admins) are (were) in no mood to add them even to Prog-Related. Unhappy

The Flaming Lips have been discussed quite a few times before. This is just a few threads:

They most definitely don't belong in Prog Related as that category only includes acts that somehow managed to put their stamp on prog rock or somehow influenced the scene in a big way. The Flaming Lips cannot claim either...so their only shot was psych, which Keishiro already mentioned turned them down. A decision I fully agree with. The Flaming Lips are 90% of the time a psychedelic pop/rock band with the odd experimentation thrown in for good measure. That's just my own opinion of them though. I know a few here on PA who consider them prog(ish).

^Thanks David

Sorry for my post, I haven't found a recent topic about them in the Suggestion section.
Well, maybe another time...
