about 3 years ago, i stumbled upon a probably polish, not sure about that, band.

they were using lots of classical covers and elements
it was very hammond oriented
one of their live videos showed a very old man playing the organ
it was something like colesium musika but i am not sure about that

can anyone name that band? it's been aching my head these days

I think You mean them: SKALDOWIE. Smile

And this album in particular fits the description:

I think you're talking about the Slovakian band Collegium Musicum. The old man playing the organ is Marian Varga methinks. I have this release of theirs and it is absolutely smoking!: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tfgBe9wYgo8

Hey no problem Nazim. Glad to be of service:)
Welcome to the forum btw. Stick around and you'll find plenty more gems. The only real concern actually is one's wallet.

Cheers
David

Sounds like EXODUS

The keyboardist could be

Sounds a bit like Genesis with  hard Hammond bits,, even when he doesn't use Hammond (Yamaha), fits in the old man range.(Well, most of the Poland Symph-Neo bands are from the late 70's and early 80's, so most in their 60's.

And let's suggest Konvergencie as album to start with

Yummmm...
Konvergencie is one of the best albums ever, DEFINITELY one of the best double albums. It's not too well known, so it's not too hard to get an original LP pressing of the album on Ebay for a fair price (I did).

One album similar to that style (but certainly not as serious) is Argentine's Alas debut album

Konvergencie was such a break-through album, it's pretty wild. Keep in mind this was made in 1971 !!

The original description made me think of Ekseption but they weren't Polish.
