Yesterday I saw an exhibition under this title with works of these two artists, comparing and confronting them. They were so different. It was very interesting to see their works side by side.

So, which one speaks to You more?

Dali by quite a far margin, even though he's not my favourite surrealist.

I'll go with this, Warhol has some intriguing stuff but much of it is just so vapid and simplistic it just bugs me.

Latterly, both were guilty of adding their signatures to works they didn't create. (It wasn't called the factory for nowt) Dali by several country miles....

I think for many open minds, surrealism is much more appealing than filtered pop-art.
An artist that does each image different from the one he did before (Dali), is far more interesting than a spin on the same (Warhol).

And I'm simply speaking from my eyes and opinion. I don't know art one bit, I simply like something where there's a lot to look at.

Well, I was afraid it would turn out to be a very one-sided poll... My vote goes to Dali as well.

Dali for sure.

Warhol is cool but against Dali....
"Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar."

Dalí was on a whole other level. When did you see Warhol doing this?

Dali by several parsecs. Warhol was a commercial artist hawking product.

to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...
