Bit well known in the prog metal scene already, doubt it but i guess it could also go for heavy prog for its weird blues/stoner aspects, or crossover for the pop format of songs. really great band imo.

I will send this to the Metal team because the core of the music is metal. Let's say that the music is crossing other styles, and it is very intense! I hear a more excentric Pain of Salvation, a bit of Mars Volta

Hi. I see this band got accepted as Prog Metal in the progfreak charts. Would it be helpful if I went on to gather band info or write parts of the bio?

Yes, but I can't see this band on the Prog Archives! If you can write some info for the bio, I think we may have to do this again from the beginning.

sh*t, sorry for the delay. Here's some stuff I gathered:

- The band is from Long Island (might be good to add this in the first paragraph).

- Possible genre tags are Prog-Metal, Groove/Stoner Metal and Hard Rock. The bluesy, ponderous Palm Desert Rock trademark aspects inside heavy, uptempo compositions is quite unprecedent, and puts them stylistically close to, on one hand, stoner acts such as Mastodon and Intronaut and, on the other hand, the hard hitting and fast-paced music of BTBAM and The Mars Volta. Add to the strangeness of this ensemble the unusual vocal style of John Carbone and you have Moon Tooth.

- Quote from their own bandcamp site:
Frontman John Carbone carries forth the tradition of singers with the range and the courage to go for it. (...) Carbone belts it out with a soaring voice that can command quiet subtlety as well as arena-rocking operatics. In poetic, modern-mythic phrases, his lyrics address themes of, in his own words, "trials, perseverance, victory... answering the call of adventure, following what you know to be your true purpose even in the face of danger, uncertainty and fear."
"Guitarist Nick Lee (also the newest member of veteran heavy metal act Riot, now known as Riot V) extracts entire worlds out of his instrument. His dexterity is matched only by his soulfulness. Backing him are bassist Vincent Romanelli and drummer Ray Marte who glide swiftly from tasty grooves and rhythmic illusions to full-on metal muscularity."

Review excerpts (from fb page):
"Top-notch musicality, crafty songwriting, and mesmerizing live show. They have my vote for best new band..." –Metal Injection
"They're heavy, they're melodic, they're intimidatingly skilled musicians, they're great songwriters, and holy sh*t, wait 'til you see them live." –MetalSucks
"Moon Tooth leads the wolfpack... with shred. Nick [Lee] plays the guitar like his fingers are trapeze artists..." –Gear Gods
"Technical, melodic, and shreddy without being w**ky... The band's bio compares vocalist John Carbone's voice to Jeff Buckley, and he certainly has one hell of a range." –Metal Insider "Each unexpected punch to your eardrums feels not only satisfying but also authentic... The passion in these recordings is palpable." –Heavy Blog Is Heavy
