I don't normally vote for a 'both' option but did this time. Both songs are so great, so influential, so classic, and so different.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

I love the "both equally" option because then I don't have to think about it too deeply and fry my brain.

Hi,

Both are valuable and equally important for me.

In those days, Idi Amin was running a muck, and things like "Schizoid" makes a lot of sense ... and then in all the newspapers and tv sets are pictures of buildings trashed by IRA bombs (supposedly ... like the reverse was not done!) ... and "Court" hits home.

"Court" also hits home in America, with the Vietnam thing, and your friend from high school that got drafted and died over there, and like the Irish conflict, this causes a lot of confusion in one's head ... and of course, then comes the song that really showed up those two ... Foreign Son. Don't forget those lyrics ... they are/were even more accusing, and important in that the rich man's son is not going to war and fight anything except the laundry stains!

The "Court" album is one of the best and greatest snap shots of the time and place. Every piece in it is about the time and place, and everyone. It's a shame that we don't like other pieces in it, and they all speak loud and clear for that time. We still don't listen to the wind! And allow too many farts to do what they want!

Big smile
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
