1980 was the best surprise ever.
After thinking an era had ended with Ozzys departure from Sabbath an metal had an unfilmable hole, instead of getting zero great albums, we get two of the best ever. Instead of being gone, Ozzy goes and turns out an album that is worthy of his best work with Sabbath (thanks in no small part to Randy Rhoads) and Sabbath.... well, the just go on to put out the single greatest metal album of all time. |

I think Sab is infinitely more musically satisfying than Ozzy solo albums. I also think Mob Rules is better than HH. Not dissing Ozzy. I like his vocals on the early Sab albums very much. I can't imagine the early Sab with Dio on vocals and I don't think they'd have the same vibe at all without Oz.
